What are the minimum specifications need on your pc to run the Drawing and designing software's smoothly which are used in civil engineering?

Friends today I'm going to talk about a  very common problem of every civil engineering student or every civil engineer 

Friends the problem is when we are going to buy a computer for the first time and we have not so much money then we are confused about it that and all have a question that Is my pc or laptop run my all drawing and drafting software smoothly? And many of us don't think about it and they buy a normal low-end pc or laptop and face many problems when using it for there works but friends don't worry today I'm here to solve your problem I am going to clear all your confusions about this problem. 

          At first, you need to think about this that what's you need from your computer? The answer is to do graphical works (Drawing & Designing ) smoothly That is your criteria so what things we need to do that a good graphics card and a processor right but things not so easy the main problem is budget. Everyone doesn't have so much money to buy heavy types of equipment and in this article, we are not going to talk about that so what you do? 

         Friends every software have their own recommendations but I think at first focus on your GPU because this is the main part after one year experience I realized that a good GPU gives you a better experience for your graphical works so don't waste your money on CPU but that not means that you don't need a powerful CPU mind it CPU is the brain of your computer and if you have a bad CPU and a high-end GPU then you see many lags and that's not good for you. So let's see the minimum requirements for your computer -

Processor - Minimum Intel dual-core processors/ Recommend Core i3 (8th-9th gen)

GPU -  GT 710 minimum /Recommend GTX 960 or higher 

RAM - Minimum 8GB

ROM - 1 SSD Any with a Hard drive

This all work on all software more details given below :

1. AutoCAD recommendations :

AutoCAD is a drafting software also you can easily make 3D drawings with this software.

This software is best for making 2D drawings every year you get an update of this software with new tools and equipment my suggestion is please don't update this software yearly then you need to update your hardware like CPU GPU yearly because if you see the older versions of this software then you see that it run smoothly on low-end hardware but the updated versions need more power and if your computer failed to give it then you see some lags and you get a bad experience but now let's see the minimum requirements of this software to run it smoothly -

Processor - Minimum Intel dual-core processors frequency minimum 3GHz

GPU - GT 710 minimum  

RAM - Minimum 8GB

ROM - 1 SSD Any with a Hard drive

With these minimum specs you can easily run AutoCAD all versions but you see some lags on updated versions I recommend you please use AutoCAD 2018 or lower because the difference is not so much in AutoCAD 2018 and 2021.

But if you already have a low-end pc or laptop then please use AutoCAD 2010 or 2009.

2. Revit recommendations :

Revit is the most popular drawing software for mechanical, civil, Architectural, etc and it's so popular for making 3D animation and drawings the recommendations for this software are similar to AutoCAD. Just one more thing you need is storage because after extraction this software takes 10GB from your storage. And if you are using a low-end computer then use the older versions for a better experience.

3. 3Ds Max :

3ds max is 3d drawing-making software as well as its use in animation woks and quality of rendering of this software is so so much better than AutoCAD rendering. It is the best software for making 3d drawings and designing. The recommendations of this software similar to AutoCAD but I recommend you to use a better GPU to work with a smooth experience GT 710 is not more than enough for the newest version of this software. If you have a low-end computer then use the older versions.

4. Staad pro :

Staad pro is popular Designing software and the recommendation of this software is not so much you can easily run this software in any low-end computer or high-end computer. So I have nothing too much discussion about this software.

   Friends I have more than one suggestion if you are using all this software then use 2018 versions of Autodesk software like AutoCAD, Revit, 3Ds Max, Maya, etc because there is not so much difference of 2018 versions with the newest versions the all the software of 2018 versions from Autodesk company are not so much heavier and lightweight software and easily run on any computer.
